The Control Plane - AIIDIOTSAI

The Control Plane is the summit of the Path: one front door over the whole fleet. Command of one agent is the Control Point; the Control Plane is the same command surface scaled to many, so you read fleet status instead of ten transcripts. You talk to it like a chief of staff and your attention goes to judgment, not to babysitting any single worker.

What it must do: one front door (route and delegate behind it), rolled-up status (every agent on one surface — the Informed Command monitor moment at fleet scale), per-agent authority envelopes, lifecycle and locks (one lock per job so a status check never launches a second worker), cross-fleet receipts, and escalation routing that reserves noise for what needs a human.

Honest split: a real multi-machine fleet doing unattended work with receipts is real today; command of a single agent is real; a single unified front door is partly built; fully rolled-up real-time observability across every agent is on the horizon.
